Leadership Team
President

As a key member of Evari GIS’ leadership team Eva leads financial decision-making, staff growth and development, safety and labor compliance and employee benefit offerings. Her organizational and business skills and her passion for spatial analysis have contributed to Evari’s continued success as the go-to company in the GIS Consulting field. Eva also works as adjunct faculty at the Woodbury University teaching courses in architecture history, urban studies, landscape theory. She has published and lectured on the history and politics of urban design and architecture. Eva holds a B.A. from University of California Berkeley, and she earned an M.A. (2004) and Ph.D. (2009) in visual studies from the University of California, Irvine.
Managing Director

Brian has worked in the transportation planning and engineering field since 2007, with an emphasis on walking and biking. In this time, he has managed projects in both the private and non-profit sectors, with an emphasis on developing active transportation master plans, programs, and facilities for people of all ages and abilities. GIS and the clear presentation of spatial information and relationships has always been a passion of his, and he followed his passion to Evari GIS in the summer of 2019, where he serves as the Director of Business Development, helping clients throughout the country solve complex geospatial problems through custom GIS applications and analysis. In his spare time, he enjoys surfing, tending his plumeria plants, and otherwise enjoying the quintessential San Diego lifestyle.
Director of Business Solutions

Nick is a Solutions Engineer at Evari GIS Consulting. Nick graduated from San Diego State University in 2017 and brings seven years of Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering experience to the team. His experience has been focused on traffic operations support for planning and design projects related to active transportation, citywide plans, and private development. He has GIS applicable experience in large-scale data collection, geospatial data analytics, parking demand management, community outreach, safe routes to school, traffic safety plans, and policy development. Nick is based out of Portland, Oregon, and supports clients throughout the Pacific Northwest region and the United States.
Director of Operations

Ruth has a Master's Degree in Geographic Information Systems from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from the University of Idaho. Ruth brings with her 17 years of industry experience, specializing in GIS lifecycle planning and practical problem-solving. Ruth has assisted both private and public sector clients in implementing GIS solutions. Her projects ranged from CAD conversion and asset management implementation to full ArcGIS Enterprise implementations and custom built web mapping applications.
GIS Administration Team
Evari’s GIS Administration team handles Systems Architecture and Deployment, Custom Development efforts, and ongoing Systems Support.
Senior GIS Administrator

Carl has extensive experience managing street light auditing projects, organizing field crews, and optimizing mobile ArcGIS applications for in-the-field use and assessment. He has worked on Evari projects for important clients like Siemens and Southern Contracting, in San Diego and Cape Cod.
Carl graduated with a BS in Geography from Arizona State University in 2013, and is an Accredited Technical Professional of AWS (Amazon Web Services). He is interested in leveraging AWS cloud computing solutions, ESRI JavaScript API, ArcGIS web app builder, and mobile GIS applications to meet the needs of clients.
GIS Administrator

Dorian started with Evari in 2019 as a GIS Technician auditing streetlights and other assets in the field. He now provides value in the IT department maintaining servers and providing technical support for various projects.
Dorian has a degree in Geography from the University of California Santa Barbara and a GIS Certification from San Diego State University. He is leveraging his background, field experience, and interest in emerging technology, to enhance Evari's capacity to meet and exceed the clients' needs.

GIS Analyst

Arash Afghahi is a GIS Analyst at Evari GIS Consulting, Inc. Arash has a B.S. in Geography and Environmental Planning with an emphasis in GIS from Towson University.
Arash has gained GIS experience in gathering and managing field data to support stormwater management, water resource protection, and utility infrastructure.
Arash joined the Operations Team in 2022 to assist with QA/QC, data analysis, and project management . He is eager to use his prior GIS experience to cooperate with clients and provide high quality project deliverables.
GIS Analyst

Katherine Pak started at Evari as a Field Technician. After demonstrating her commitment to data accuracy and knowledge in GIS, she now enters her new role as GIS Analyst.
After graduating with a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Oregon, she began her professional career in habitat restoration where she developed an interest in data management in GIS.
Her dedication to progress and desire to tackle new and challenging tasks proves her to be an invaluable addition to the Evari team.
Solutions Team
Evari’s Solutions team is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing marketing activities through all aspects of successfully pursuing work, including proposal writing, interviewing, and project contracting.
Marketing Coordinator

Alexys serves as the Marketing Coordinator at Evari GIS Consulting, Inc. With a wealth of expertise in marketing, business administration, and managing field data in the GIS industry, Alexys brings invaluable skills to her role. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Marketing and Advertising, Alexys joined our team in 2023. When not at work, Alexys enjoys exploring the picturesque San Diego trails, camping, and relaxing at home with her orange tabby cat.
Financial and Human Resources Team
Evari’s financial team handles invoicing, insurance, human resources, and business management.
Accounting Administrative Assistant

As the Accounting Administrative Assistant, Colleen works with Evari GIS’ Business Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the finance and human resources sides of Evari. Her love of numbers and working with people offer a unique skill set to help facilitate the continued growth of the company. She is always looking for new ways to streamline processes and enhance the employee experience. Colleen holds a B.A. in Psychology from University of California, San Diego. In her free time she enjoys staying active and spending time with her family and friends.
