Streetlight Inventory

Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E)

Evari was responsible for performing a comprehensive inventory of existing streetlights in the city of San Jose as part of their ongoing streetlight audit and GIS services contract with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). Auditing the City of San Jose consisted of assessing seven zones, with specific ones designated as priority areas by municipal staff. Once the audit was completed in one zone, lighting design and conversions took place as Evari continued the audit in other areas of the city. This ensured a proactive and timely approach to meeting the City’s goals, deadlines, and project schedule.

Air quality issues from nearby California wildfires and challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic were tackled by developing strict guidelines to reduce risk and protect the Evari team. Additionally, Evari staff compiled and performed GIS analysis on crime data, which gave project managers insight into guiding technicians through high-crime areas. Evari scaled up quickly by mobilizing local GIS technicians and deploying travel staff. Auditors captured seven photos at every light and became accustomed to the cloud syncing storage process completed at the end of the workday. Evari implemented their comprehensive Quality Assurance Plan to achieve high data quality standards.
