Warehouse Suitability Analysis

San Diego Foodbank

Evari GIS Consulting provided consulting services to the San Diego Foodbank to conduct a site suitability analysis based on the non-profit’s current operations information for long-term expansion of services. Evari analysts identified constituent components of the analysis, including integrating data from multiple partnership non-profits, sanitizing and geocoding volunteer address data, and locating donor locations.

In total, several thousand data points with various priority weightings were employed to identify a preferred site for a new warehouse. Ultimately, this information yielded insights for real estate acquisition to be used by the Foodbank to maximize the effectiveness of a third location. Evari built a three-dimensional web-based application to distribute this information to non-technical stakeholders. This included a presentation to stakeholders and community members.
