Inc. Magazine Unveils Its 37th Annual List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies—the Inc. 5000, and Evari makes the cut!
Inc. magazine yesterday revealed that Evari GIS Consulting, Inc. made it onto its 37th annual Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.
Not only have the companies on the 2018 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but the list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists. The 2018 Inc. 5000 achieved an astounding three-year average growth of 538.2 percent, and a median rate of 171.8 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $206.1 billion in 2017, accounting for 664,095 jobs over the past three years.
“If your company is on the Inc. 5000, it’s unparalleled recognition of your years of hard work and sacrifice. The lines of business may come and go, or come and stay. What doesn’t change is the way entrepreneurs create and accelerate the forces that shape our lives.”

About Evari GIS Consulting, Inc.
Evari GIS Consulting, Inc. is a small, local San Diego business founded in 2009 (and incorporated in 2012) with the mission of bringing valuable implementation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related technologies to their clients. Evari uses GIS to capture, analyze, and display high-quality geographic data in support of a variety of industries, including Street and Roadway Lighting, Transportation Engineering, Planning, Stormwater Management, and Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC). Leveraging the Esri Technology Stack (ArcGIS) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Computing platform, Evari supports clients across the country and in their backyard of San Diego.
Notably, Evari has been integral to deploying San Deigo’s ambitious Smart City solution, first auditing the City’s street lighting assets in 2014. Evari then supported the City’s lighting conversion, and conducted a variety of spatial analyses ensuring the fidelity of the City’s Smart City deployment. The nodes the City deployed form an Internet of Things (IoT) network, providing data to monitor and enforce public safety and enable a smart parking and traffic solution. Further, Evari is supporting the largest smart street lighting project in the United States by conducting the initial GIS audit of 327,800 street lights, and facilitating their integration into Silver Spring Network's adaptive lighting control system. Evari is proud to be embedded in the San Diego business community, as well, participating in local civic dialogues and supporting a variety of local projects including the Municipal Stormwater Program, University Community Plan Amendment, Balboa Avenue Station Area Specific Plan, and the City of San Diego’s comprehensive curbside parking audit.
With one foot in traditional GIS support, and another in innovation, Evari prides itself on solving current, real-world problems for clients. Making the Inc. 5000 list is an honor, and it marks period of time characterized by growth, progress, and continued commitment to seeking new and improved solutions for cities, communities, and clients.
